Stanley Roderick Halkett was born on December 16, 1942, in Prince Albert, SK, and passed away on December 29, 2022, in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 80 years.
Stanley is survived by his loving family, his spouse, Shirley Antoine; his children, Lawrence Halkett (Charlene Bear), Isaiah Halkett, Samantha Halkett (James), Sylvia Halkett (Aaron Ermine), Wilfred Halkett; his step-children, Jennie, Cynthia, Tasha, Gerald Ballantyne, Wesley Ballantyne, Jeanette Naytowhow, Kenneth Ballantyne; his brothers, Peter Halkett, Gilbert Halkett (Martha); his adopted brother, Glen Halkett (Misty); his sister, Caroline Hunt (Philip); his grandchildren, Jason Halkett, Teresa Halkett, Gilbert Chamakese, Chase Halkett; his God daughter, Lorna Halkett; Whitefish family and Turner family.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Christie Halkett; his granddaughter, Louise Halkett; his late wife, Bernice Halkett; his parents, Nora (Isiah) Halkett; his grandparents, Elias (Margaret) Hunt and George (Caroline) Halkett; his brother, Absalom Halkett, Wallace and Mathew Halkett; his sisters, Cathy Halkett, Maryanne Halkett, Rosaline Charles; his nephew, Absolom Halkett; his nieces, Darlene Henderson, Christina Halkett.
The Wake Services will be held at 8:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 31, 2022, and Sunday, January 1, 2023, at the Little Red River Band Hall. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, January 2, 2023, at the Little Red River School, with Bishop Adam Halkett and Harry Halkett officiating. Interment to follow at the Little Red River Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306) 922-4729, Paula Hanson, Funeral Director, and Sarah Naytowhow.
