It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Simone Lee-Hon-Siong on August 31, 2022 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of late Leon Lee-Hon-Siong, mother of Josiane (Clency), Laval (Linda), Margaret (France), Nathalie (Andre), Francois (Marlene), Gerard (Isabelle) Elvis (Jocelyne) and Shirley (Thomas). Adored grandmother (17) and great grandmother (20). She will be dearly missed and will continue to live in our hearts.
She was born in Mauritius, grew up in Curepipe and married at the age of 17. She started working at a very young age and was very talented and creative (sewing, knitting, crocheting and crafts). She was a very giving and generous person with her time and talent. She has changed the lives of many with her generosity and her great personality and beautiful smile. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter at 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga on Tuesday September 6, 2022 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Merciful Redeemer Parish, 2775 Erin Centre Blvd, Mississauga on Wednesday September 7, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Centre d’accueil heritage would be appreciated.
