Sharon Patricia de Groot (nee Petaski)
Sharon Patricia de Groot, aged 77 years passed on from complications of vascular dementia on December 6, 2022 at her home in East Selkirk, with her husband of 60 years by her side.
Sharon is now reunited with her parents Michael and Margaret Petaski as well as many dear relatives and friends.
Left to mourn is her husband John; their children John (Joanne) de Groot, Wendy (Conrad) Leschied and Darren (Gwen) de Groot; six grandchildren Eric (Jenn) Leschied, Mandy (Andrew) Hnatiuk, Amy (Jacob) Ott, Jonathan (Julia) de Groot, Ian (Sarah) de Groot and Todd de Groot; ten great-grandchildren, Chole, Makenzie, Zachary, Finley Hnatiuk; Autumn, Hudson, Dawson Leschied; James, Lukas and Lyla Ott.
The family is comforted by God’s assurance that “mom” is now healed and surrounded by love that surpasses all understanding, thanks be to God.
A private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your Church or charity of choice.
