SELMAN, Douglas Wayne – Age 88, formerly of Mooretown, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Beloved husband for 57 years to the late Teresa Selman (2011). Loving mother of Becki (John) Doan of London, Wayne (Debbie) Selman of Courtright and Robert (Nancy) Selman of Courtright. Cherished grandfather of Taralynn (Dragan) Rajic, Kelly Selman, Nicole Selman (fiancé Brad Reitz) and Danielle Selman (partner Brett Chedore) and great-grandfather of Jackson, Ella, Emma and Hudson. Survived by his brother Gary Selman and sister Noreen Moran. Predeceased by his brother Cameron. Special friend to Sandra Ravensberg. A special thanks to the Palliative Care Nurses at Bluewater Health and staff at Twin Lakes Terrace. Doug was a proud member of the Operating Engineers for 68 years, was in the Sarnia-Lambton Sports Hall of Fame for baseball, was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, fan of the Detroit Tigers and was a farmer in Mooretown.
VISITATION
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 2-4 pm.
FUNERAL
Funeral service will be held Monday, June 20, 2022 at 11:00 am from the funeral home. Interment in Moore Union Cemetery.
DONATIONS
In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
