San Ok has peacefully left us on September 11, 2022, after a long battle with cancer at the Sturgeon Hospital, St. Albert with family and friends by her side.
San was born in Prachinburi, Thailand on July 9, 1981, to Seth Chhem and Yan Moung. The family immigrated in the early 1990’s to Edmonton, Alberta.
San is known as a strong and a determined person. San fought her illness to the very end. San is someone who spoke her mind and was a passionate and dedicated friend, sister, daughter and mother.
We would like to thank the staff at Sturgeon Hospital, St. Albert and the Cross Cancer Society who was by her side during her illness. We would also like to thank her amazing friends that helped her with whatever she needed, visited and sat by her side, truly amazing people.
San lives through her daughter, Ava, brothers (Daughter), Mario (Robert) (Brother), Sath (Norrie), (Brother), Youen (Thary) and niece (Elizabeth), along with her countless friends.
She is now reunited with her grandparents and extended family who loved her very much.
Visitation and memorial service to celebrate the life of San Ok will be held September 18, 2022, at 3:00pm at Park Place Funeral Home (51 Broadway Blvd Sherwood Park, Alberta). For those who can not attend in person, this service will be live streamed.
