We are sad to announce the passing of our dear mother, Rosina Stansfield, on August 4, 2022, at the age of 87. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her family. She had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community.
She was born in Colwyn Bay, Wales and came to live in Canada in 1964. As well as being a devoted mother she was an excellent bookkeeper and retail sales manager. She was a voracious reader of Agatha Christie and loved to solve mysteries and puzzles when she wasn’t pampering her dogs Prince and Simba, whom she adored.
She was predeceased by her mother Alice, sister Marjorie, and brothers Clement and Raymond and will leave behind husband Barrie, children Paul (Lynda Tam), Susan Rodwell (Brad) and Julia Vasconcelos (Louis), and grandchildren Jenny, Brett, Cole, Andrew and James.
We would especially like to thank the staff of Wentworth Lodge in Dundas, Ontario, who conscientiously tended to our mother’s well-being over the past few years. They have our deepest, heart-felt gratitude.
To honour Rosina’s memory, we are holding a celebration of her life on Saturday, August 27th at the Circle of Life, 100 King Street East, Dundas, Ontario between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. All are welcome. A light lunch and beverages will be provided.
