On November 19, 2021, Rose Marie Reeder passed away peacefully at home, after succumbing to cancer. She was 68 years old. She was born September 27, 1953, in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal.
She was predeceased by her parents, Manuel and Maria and her younger brother Victor. Rose will be lovingly remembered by her partner Gord, daughter Michelle (Steven) and son Matthew; grandchildren Charlotte and Hudson; sisters Fil, Linda (Paul) and Naomi (Keith); brothers Joe and Michael and many nieces and nephews and friends.
Rose was a hardworking and passionate woman, who was a devoted partner, mom and nana. She loved being outdoors soaking up the sun, spending most of her time gardening in her backyard or relaxing out at the lake. She loved being around her family, especially her two beautiful grandbabies, who she doted on and cherished more than anything. She was so proud of being a nana and would always brag about her babies and how much she loved them.
She worked at AUPE for the last 12 years where she left a lasting impression on those she surrounded herself with making some lifelong friendships. She was well known among her work colleagues, and everyone knew that they could rely on her for anything they needed.
She had the most beautiful smile that would light up a room and if you ever caught her in a genuine laugh, it was heartwarming. Her love and affection was infectious and will be missed by all who knew her. She had the most tender heart and touch, her hugs could solve any problem you were having, big or small. She will be forever in our hearts and will through our loving memories.
