It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our matriarch, Rose at Clarion Nursing Home, on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, in her 92nd year. Reunited with her late husband and dance partner, Walter Joseph Susla. Loved mother of the late Cathy (Rick) Skibinski, Diane Carnahan (late Mike) and Joe Susla (Judi). Cherished Nana of Adam (Olivia), Rebecca (Mike), Bryan, Scott, Ben, Erin, Connor, Gillian, and great-grandmother of Jacqueline, Gabriela, Griffin and Zaylen. Predeceased by her parents, Joe and Annie Danko of Smithville and her sisters, Mary Agnes Chalupka (late Joe), Annie Danko and Madelaine Milovick (late Mike). Rose will also be remembered by her extended family and friends. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Tuesday December 27, 2022 from 3-7, p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway # 8, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 10:00 am. Interment Mountview Gardens, Stoney Creek. If desired, memorial contributions to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
