Mersereau, Ronald Addison
It is with great sadness, the family of Ronnie Mersereau announces his passing, which occurred on May 28, 2022 at the DECH in Fredericton, NB with his loving wife by his side. Born in Fredericton Junction on October 28, 1947, he was the son of Rainsford and Inez (Segee) Mersereau.
Ronnie graduated from Sunbury West High School in 1965, after graduation he attended Saint John Tech School, enrolling in the electrical trade. After graduation from Tech he worked for Dobblestyn’s Electrical for several years; before traveling across Canada to do electrical contracts. He started his own company Junction Electrical and ended his electrical career with NB Power.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 53 years Alice (Price) Mersereau, son Timmy (Tammy) Mersereau of St. Stephen. Grandsons Benjamin (Ataya Neilson) Mersereau and Cody Fawkes, his one sister Carol (Mike) Davenport, Niece Kari of Fredericton Junction and Nephew Lonnie (Kim) of Kentville, NS. His beloved cat Bella will miss her Daddy very much.
Ronnie built and enjoyed their family camp at Big Kedron Lake for 43 years. Fishing, hunting, Argo trips and celebrating many special events with his family and friends; some of who considered him their second father. He loved to teach his Grandson Ben about his knowledge of hunting, and different kinds of firearms. He loved his special weekend in June when he and Ben would go brook fishing. This was a tradition since Ben was able to walk.
He is predeceased by his daughter Tammy Pollock, his parents Rainsford and Inez Mersereau, two brothers Eddie and Kenny Mersereau
Special thanks to the Nurses, Doctors and Staff of the DECH, especially Dr. Gordon MacDonald, and Nurses of the Pallative Care Unit, who cared for Ronnie in his final days.
Funeral will be by invitation only. Family has asked at this time to please wear a mask when attending the Funeral to protect our loved ones. Donations to the SPCA and Hospice House would be appreciated by the family.
