Obituary
Bob always aimed to make people feel welcome by offering humour, sage advice or a helping hand. His family is extremely saddened to share that Bob passed at home in Rosetown on April 3, 2022.
Bob called Rosetown home for his entire life. He was raised on the family farm west of town, he married his first-love, Kay, and they built a very happy home on that same homestead. Bob enjoyed careers with the Department of Highways, with Nickel Trucking hauling gravel and potash, as owner/operator of Triple ‘J’ Sandblasting and Painting and carpentry work. As a proud father, Bob often travelled around the province cheering on the girls’ basketball games, hauling drama sets and leading various 4-H projects.
As empty-nesters, Bob and Kay moved into town where he got even more involved as a volunteer in the community at the museum, with harvest festival planning and establishing the Rosetown Youth Center. Bob was scheduled to receive the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal at the end of April and the family has been invited to still accept this award on his behalf.
Bob’s proudest accomplishments was being a husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Kay (Sinclair) and their three girls, Jacqueline (Kevin) grandsons Jacob and Kole of Regina, Janelle (Kent) granddaughter Avery and grandson Brodin of Eston, and Judy (John) grandson Cass, granddaughter Kathryn and grandson Kolter of Rosetown. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Ken (Val) Sinclair nephews Geordie (Glynnis) and Nathan and niece Breanna (Devon) and their daughter Mae. He is predeceased by his parents David and Betty White, and his sisters Lesley and Valerie (Vincent).
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rosetown Civic Center with Reverend Jo-Ann Hills officiating. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made with gratitude to the Rosetown Youth Center or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
