Peggy Fraser 1940 2022 avis de deces

Surrounded by family, Peggy Ruth
Fraser, nee Biggs, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 28, 2022.
Loving wife of 59 years to David, proud mother of Scott (Kathleen),
Jody (James), Tammy (Darren), and cherished grandmother to Morgan,
Courtney, Jackson, Camden, Harriet, and June. Sister to Gail (Harry)
Fraser and Joyce (Bob) Crawford, Aunt to several nieces and nephews
and friend to many. Peggy was the daughter of the late M. Helen and
William Biggs, brother Gerald (Phyllis)
Biggs.
Living in Moncton’s Old West
End her entire life, Peggy completed her nursing training at the
Moncton Hospital in 1961. She met the love of her life and best
friend, David in 1961 and were married in 1963. After a nursing career
of nine years in the operating room, Peggy retired. She was always
busy teaching Sunday School at Wesley Memorial Church, volunteering at
the children’s school or learning a new
craft.
At home, she was proud to display her
many holiday decorations, crafts, Avon products or new clothes for
every season. There could never be too much! Peggy enjoyed time spent
with friends, neighbours and having weekly family gatherings
– serving baked beans on Saturday nights and a card game of
45s late into the evening. With a competitive spirit, she’d
try her best to win, all the while, her infectious laughter filling
the house or cottage.
Since she was a child, Peggy always
loved going down to the Boston area to visit family including her
brother, cousins and later her son and family. Over the years, Peggy
and David logged many hours on the road driving across Canada and the
US stopping to visit everyone along the
way.
Her loss will be felt by everyone who
knew her, she will be missed
dearly.
The family would like to express their
sincere gratitude to the staff of Albert House Hospice for their
gentle care during the last week of Peggy’s life. As well as
the dedicated staff of the Moncton Hospital cardiac and palliative
care units.
A funeral service will take place on
Thursday September 1st, 2022 at 3pm at
Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Rd, Moncton (858-1995),
followed by a reception. Visitation will be Wednesday, August
31st, 2022
7-9pm.
For those who wish, in lieu of
flowers, please consider a donation to the Albert House Hospice or any
charity of your choice.
Online condolences for the family may
