Patrick Allan Murphy «Paddy»
1940-2022
The death occurred in the Provincial Palliative Care Centre
on Saturday, September 17/22 of Patrick Allan Murphy
«Paddy», age 82. Lovingly remembered by his wife
Susan, children Suzanne, Shawn (Nancy), Melissa (Daniel) and
stepchildren John Michael (Victoria) Tracey (Blake). Missed and
remembered with laughter by sisters Hummie, Judy, Paddy’s
in-laws, numerous grandchildren and great children.
Predeceased by his wife Patti (d.2014), sister Rosalie,
brothers–in-laws Donnie and Al and parents Allan and
Angie.
Paddy was lovingly devoted to his family. His quick
wit and deep passion for the betterment of those around him created
advancements within the PEI Teacher’s Federation and the
Maritime Harness Racing Commission. His love and devotion to God and
being surrounded by family and friends provided comfort to him in his
final days.
Funeral mass will be held at St.
Dunstan’s Basilica on Friday, September 23/22 at 10:30 a.m..
Internment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
donations to St. Vincent de Paul or the Palliative Care Centre would
be appreciated.
