Pamela (Carey) McNeil
It is with broken hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful Pammy. On Saturday, June 18, 2022, she passed at home with her companion Donnie by her side, after a lifelong battle with Lupus causing liver failure.
Pammy was born on June 16, 1965, to Bobby and Muriel Carey of Bras d’Or
where she spent her childhood, before moving to Florence and later to Whitney Pier.
Pammy worked hard all her life, as both a caregiver and as a CCA, with a passion for helping others. She was employed with New Dawn for 28 years, and her conversations always centered around her work family. She took great pride in doing what was best for everyone under her care and had a genuine interest in making their daily lives better.
She is survived and loved dearly by her mother Muriel (Carey), her spouse and best friend, Donnie Reashore and her pride and joy son, Cory, daughter-in-law Jonelle, and precious granddaughter Ellie Mae McNeil.
Left to mourn are her sisters, and best friends Gloria, Verna (Bernie), Rossie (Peter) and Nancy (Leroy), her godson Rickey, partner-in-crime, Melody MacNeil, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She loved more deeply than she could describe in words, and we knew she always carried us close to her heart.
Meeting her with open arms is her father Bobby, her three brothers Rickey, Kenny and Ernie Carey, brother-in-law Ernie Confiant, her paternal grandparents, Emma and Robert Carey, and maternal grandparents, Janie and George Long.
In keeping with Pam’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life and committal will take place at a later date.
We will miss your beautiful smile, and infectious laughter, but rejoice knowing you are finally free from suffering and pain. Love you forever our beautiful Pammy. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
