Otto’s Obituary
It is with grief, sadness, and heartbreak that his family lost their hero.
Heaven gained another Angel Otto Eli Pope, age 88 (Oldest son of Richard and Julie Pope) passed away peacefully on December 29,2022 to sing with the angels and walk on streets of gold.
He is survived by his loving wife Levina of Sixty-Five (65) years, cherished by his dear children; Carl(Michelle), Patsy(Edgar), Julie(Leonard), Sherry (Cletus), Valerie(Carl), Deon (Patti) and his precious fourteen (14) grandchildren and his Eleven (11) Great Grand Children whom he loved with his whole heart and soul.
He will be leaving behind his Seven(7) siblings, predeceased by Four (4). He was their leader, mentor, and friend.
Otto was a prayer warrior for the community of Birchy Bay where he was born and raised, throughout his life he served as the Mayor of Birchy Bay, the community school bus driver, and the local garage mechanic, treated with utmost respect by most who knew him. However, His greatest milestone of his life was to serve as an Honorary Deacon with the Beacon Pentecostal Tabernacle.
He will be dearly missed by his family and large circle of friends.

Public visitation will take place from the Beacon Pentecostal Church, Birchy Bay, NL on Sunday, January 1,2023 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM.
The funeral service will take place from the Beacon Pentecostal Church, Birchy Bay, NL on Monday January 2,2023 at 2PM. Interment will follow from the Beacon Pentecostal Cemetery, Birchy Bay, NL.
As expression of sympathy flowers will be gratefully accepted.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL.
