LADAS, Niki – It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Niki Ladas on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the age of 80. Beloved wife of 57 years to Efthemios «Tim» Ladas. Dearly loved mother of Connie Liolios (Paul Zarafonitis) and Anthe Tanasi (Bruno). Cherished Yiayia of Yiannaki and Niki Liolios, Angela and Niki Tanasi, Peter and Thomas Zarafonitis and Great-Yiayia of Fotini and Saki. Dear sister of Sam Stavropoulos (Evagelia) and the late Christina Steinbachs (Eriks). Lovingly remembered by many cousins, nieces, nephews and Koubari in Greece, Canada and the United States. Yiayia was the matriarch of her family and loved by everyone. She enjoyed tending to her garden and sharing the fruits of her labour with her family, friends and neighbours. She was a gracious host and a wonderful cook. She would always put a smile on your face with her quick wit and humour. Friends and family are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Trisagion will be conducted at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Kathertine Greek Orthodox Church, 585 Niagara St. St. Catharines. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
