Myrtle Elizabeth McKenna
1927-2022
Peacefully at the Dr. John Gillis Memorial Lodge on Friday,
October 21, 2022 of Myrtle Elizabeth McKenna of Newtown Cross age 95
years.
Born in Newtown Cross she is the daughter of the late Charles
and Mary Ellen (Roberts) McKenna. She is the last surviving member of
her immediate family being predeceased by her sister Edith and her
brothers Basil, Eugene and Joseph McKenna.
Myrtle was a well known mixed crop farmer who loved animals
and enjoyed working the land.
A special thanks to the Gillis Lodge Staff for the loving
care provided to Myrtle.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home
for visiting hours on Wednesday, October 26th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, October 27th with funeral mass
from St. Dunstan’s Basilica at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St.
Michael’s Parish Cemetery, Iona.
