Mike, in his 77th year, died peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Thursday, September 8, 2022, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Beloved companion of Pat Ellis for over 23 years. Mike was predeceased by his late wife, Susan Cece, and his son Michael John Cece Jr.
Brother of Garfield Anthony Ceci (deceased), Marie Frank, and Phyllis Hoyle (Dennis). Son of the late Michael and Geraldine Ceci. He is also survived by his stepdaughters, Cindy Sue Potter (Rich) and Wanda Herrick (Shawn), five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, extended family, friends, and loyal best friend, Cindy, his dog.
The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the Ottawa Civic Hospital, the ambulance attendants, and Lannin Funeral Home for their care and compassion. Last but not least, we have been overwhelmed by all the kind thoughts and help from our extended family, friends, Bayshore Home Care Solutions, and Tim Minshull (Smile Program). The family will be hosting a Celebration of Mike’s life on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Lannin Funeral Home, 32 Main Street East, Smiths Falls. We would be honoured by the presence of all family, friends, and healthcare providers who have supported us over the years.
