Obituary
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Spinelli Liscia, 89 years of age, on July 17, 2022.
Maria is survived by her husband of 66 years, Luigi Liscia, daughters Susanna ( Sam Medic) and Margherita, and her cherished grandson Nikolas.
Beloved daughter to Antonio and Pasquarella Spinelli.
Devoted sister to predecessors Pietro and Orlando.
Adored by her nieces, nephews, Godchildren, extensive family and friends.
Maria was born in Mafalda, Province of Campobasso, Italy, February 9, 1933. Maria is lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who preferred a simple life. Unity and love within her family and friends meant everything to her.
A nurturing, loving, lighthearted woman who could make your belly laugh with her comedic ways.
A woman that loved her gardening that bloomed in reward for her.
The family pets that showed so much love for her as she did to them.
Maria, though tiny in stature, was mighty and a true fighter through and through the adversities in her life.
She fought bravely the ravages of Alzheimer’s.
We know that Maria would be so appreciative of any donations made to The Alzheimer’s Society of Toronto.
