Obituary For Lucille Theresa Chase
November 25, 1933 – August 11, 2022
With great sadness the family of Lucille Chase announces her passing on August 11, 2022 in Grande Prairie AB at 89 years of age.
Lucille was born in Falher AB to Louies and Marie Dechambre. Lucille was one among the nine children in the family. There were 5 sons – Joe, Phillip, Paul, Charlie and Henry and 4 daughters – Annette, Lucille, Theresa, and Jeannette. Later in life she found and met brother John.
In 1951, she moved to Grande Prairie Alberta, where she married Howard Chase on April 7, 1952, raising daughters Anne and Linda until moving to Grovedale AB in 1958. They continued to care for the family homestead until her passing.
Lucille leaves behind husband of 70 years; Howard Chase, daughter Linda Golnick (Lloyd Hansen), grandchildren: Shawn Boissonnault child Kale, Sheldon Golnick ( Laurieanne Galavan ) children, Brooke, Jayme and Alexander, Kelly Boissonnault ( Michelle Boissonnault ) children Chase, Larissa, Tristan, Josh, Sarah and grandchildren, Charleen Sparks ( Dan Sparks ) children Derek and Lauren, Shelley Kuntz (Murray Kuntz ) children Meriska, Emily, Katie and Lindsey.
She was pre-deceased by daughter Ann Walters ( Bob Walters ) and great granddaughter Tasha Boissonnault.
Lucille enjoyed living in Grovedale where she spent many hours gardening, knitting and having coffee with friends, neighbors and family. Having many gardening tips to share, her favorite was always having the first produce in the early spring.
Her love for family and all children alike will always be a fond memory to those that knew her.
