Obituary
Cunningham, Linda Lou– 73, of The Hawk, we the family of the late Linda Cunningham are saddened to announce the passing of our “Queen” on October 8, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Born on November 8, 1948 she was a daughter of the late Romie and Marguerite (Nickerson) Swim.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her so much joy. Linda enjoyed traveling with her husband to Florida. Linda leaves behind her loving husband of 55 years, Fenton; daughter, Lou Ann; sons, Flavian and Cory; grandsons, Dillon and Farren; granddaughters, Holly and Naomie; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Fisher, Adalyn and Benton; sisters, Nettie, Deloris, Donna, Betty Jean and Bonnie; several nieces and nephews; lifelong friend, Marsha and special friend, Anna.
Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by brothers, Lynwood, Gerald, Melvin and Leslie in infancy; sisters, Genevieve and Margaret Rose.
The family would like to extend their thanks to caregivers, Janice and Rhonda, VON, Dr. Manel Premachandra and his secretary, Patricia for their compassion and care. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11, from 7-9 pm at the H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, at 2:00 pm from the New Testament Baptist Church, the Hawk, with Gary Cunningham officiating. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. The funeral service will be recorded for those unable to attend and uploaded to our funeral home site. Flowers are welcome and memorial donations may be made to Kids Fair Play Fund, The Lung Association or the New Testament Baptist Church.
