It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William Letawsky on December 28, 2022.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years Joanne, his children Veronica White, Monica Shapka, Daniel Letawsky, David Letawsky, Juliet Lidstone, Michael Letawsky(Sulma), Joaneen Oystrek (Cam), and Christopher Letawsky (Maria), grandchildren Justin White, Janessa Shapka, Jolene Shapka, Tricia Shapka, Adam Letawsky, Sarah Moore, Mariah Letawsky, Joshua Lidstone, Jai Letawsky, Kiran Letawsky, Danika Oystrek, Alexis Oystrek, Parker Oystrek, Ava Letawsky, and Mya Letawsky, his sister Mary Stodola and stepbrothers Archie Melnyk and Gary Melnyk
William was predeceased by his parents Stefan and Stella Letawsky, his brothers Peter, Jim and Marcel Letawsky, and his stepbrother Len Melnyk.
He is joining his infant son Basil Letawsky and daughter Josephine Letawsky (June 22, 2022) in eternal life.
A Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday January 7, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Star Peno Ukrainian Catholic Church with the Basilian Fathers officiating.
Donations in memory of William Letawsky can be made directly to a charity of choice.
