We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Lesli Jolly in the Pasqua Hospital, Regina, Saskatchewan on May 16, 2022 after fighting an aggressive cancer diagnosis.
Lesli is survived by her sister Debra Hamilton (Hugh Fisher) of Kingston, Ontario; her nephews Jordan Hamilton (Deborah) of Calgary, Alberta and Aaron Hamilton (Rain) of Perth, Ontario; and the many cousins she regularly corresponded with. She was predeceased by her beloved parents Lois and Douglas Jolly.
Lesli was born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan on May 2, 1954, but the family moved many times through her childhood with her bank manager father. She began high school at Sacred Heart Academy in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and graduated from Campbell Collegiate in Regina in 1972.
Lesli spent her childhood summers at the family cottage in B-Say-Tah in the Qu’Appelle Valley and experienced her happiest days swimming, boating, hill climbing and memorable walks around Echo Lake with her sister Debra and Ottawa cousins Trice and Bev. Lesli always considered B-Say-Tah her real home.
Lesli loved to read and was proud of her eclectic book collection which has been donated to the library at Mutchmor Lodge. She was an avid CBC listener and Facebook quizzer and was always happy to comment on the story of the day. Thank you to the many friends Lesli enjoyed at Mutchmor Lodge for brightening her days.
We are very grateful to the Palliative Care team at the Pasqua Hospital for their care and attention in Lesli’s final days, to the staff at Mutchmor Lodge who provided her final home, to friends Brenda Sherring and Bettyann Cox for visits with Lesli during her last two days and to Jennifer at Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services for her care and support.
May the dreams you hold dearest
Be those which come true,
And the kindness you spread
Keep returning to you.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Lesli Lynne Jolly May 16th 2022..
