Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jordan Brett Knott on July 21, 2022 at the age of 31 years in Duncan’s First Nation.
Jordan was born August 10, 1990 to his late mom (Twerpy) Charmaine Knott and dad Norbert Halcrow.
Jordan resided in a number of places including Camrose AB, Dawson Creek, B.C, Kitimat, B.C, and Slave Lake, AB however Duncan’s First Nation was home to him. In his early teens he joined the Duncan’s First Nation cadets where he excelled at a leadership role.
Jordan also began getting back to his grassroots where he excelled as a Grass Root Dancer. Jordan competed at different Pow Wows in the Peace Country area.
In Jordan’s late teens is when he began his new path of becoming a firefighter for the Government of Alberta. He fire fought with his late mooshum Darcy and cousin Leon Knott.
Upon learning of his diabetes he spent his time quadding and hunting down near the river, he also liked to tinker on his quad. One of his pastimes was when he played bingo with his late mom but particularly didn’t like it.
Jordan was predeceased by his mom, Charmaine; mooshum Darcy as well as numerous aunts, uncles and grandparents.
Jordan leaves behind his younger brother Jonathan; aunt Tracy; dad, Norbert; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for the late Jordan Knott will be held from the JTM School in Duncan’s First Nation on Saturday August 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM with interment to follow at Duncan’s First Nation Cemetery.
