Joan Hazel (Sturgeon) Kelly, wife of Ivan Kelly of Gray Rapids, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the age of 83.
Born in Gray Rapids, NB, she was the daughter of the late Hayward and Janet (Coughlan) Sturgeon. She was retired from Scotia Bank Newcastle, a member of St Agnes Anglican Church, Choir member, former ACW and an avid quilter.
Besides her husband Ivan, she is survived by her daughters, Darla Nowlan (Roderick) of Warwick Settlement and Alma Colford of Gray Rapids; her sisters, Iona Langen (Ron) of Guelph Ontario and Mamie Jardine (Late Jack) of Gray Rapids; her brother Boyd Sturgeon of Gray Rapids; her grandchildren, Kayla, Adrienne, Braden, Janelle, Kayne and Drake and her great grandchildren, Turner, Oakley, Pryce, Abel, Emery, Olsen and Aaron.
She was predeceased by her parents, Daughter Roma Kelly Granddaughter Erin, sister Marie Canahan and brother Sherman Sturgeon.
Joan Hazel (Sturgeon) Kelly is resting at St. Agnes Anglican Church, Gray Rapids on Sunday from 3-5 & 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 1 pm at St. Agnes Anglican Church with Father Gerry Laskey officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
In her memory, donations to Canadian Cancer Society or St. Agnes Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
