It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of our father, JESSE WILLIAM CRIBB, of Marystown, surrounded by his loving family, at his residence in Marystown on Saturday, August 27th, 2022 at the age of 88.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his sons Sandy (Winnie), Gordon (Dorothy), Claude (Dora), Tony (Connie), and Glen (Georgina), daughters Gladys Murray (Larry), Tryphena Kenway (Dave), Debbie Kenway (Ches), Phyllis Foster (Jeff), and daughter in law Leone Cribb; 14 grandchildren Wayne (Christa), Kyla (Richard), Christopher (Amy), Marcia (Marty), Nadine (Kyle), Krista (Chris), Ashley (Jeff), Catherine (Michael), Jessica (Greg), Caitlin (Terry), Justin, Ryan, Sarah (Kyle) and Samantha (Dan); 19 great grandchildren Natalie, Emily, Michaela, Aidan, Andrew, Patrick, Liam, Peyton, Dylan, Nicholas, James, Jonathon, Mark, Olivia, Sophia, Noah, Emma, Grayson, Annie, Georgia, Ellie, Myles and Bennett; special friend of 9 years, Marguerite Kennedy; sisters in law Eva Cribb, Patricia Cribb and Thanie Langdon; plus a large circle of other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank his Home Care Workers, Nadine Murray-Paul, Kathleen Cross, Jessie Cleal, Patsy Green-Forsey, and Tim King, for all the care they showed their dad .
Jesse was predeceased by his wife Effie Sarah, his parents Alexander and Emily Cribb, sons Ross and Melvin, Parents in law William and Tryphena Langdon, brothers Tom (Cassie), Ches, John, and sisters Sadie Lomond (Gordon), Irene Cornish (John), Theresa Jackman, (Clyde); brother in law Robert Langdon.
The Cribb Family will be accepting visitors at Peninsula Funeral Home in Creston South on Sunday, August 28, from 2:30 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm and Monday, August 29, from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm.
Funeral Service will take place at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Marystown on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Creston South, NL
In Jesse’s memory, donations can be made to the St. Mary’s/St. Michael’s Anglican Cemetery Fund, Creston South, NL.
