Obituary
Jennie Luella Ellis passed August 28, 2022 at The John M. Parrott Centre in her one hundredth year. After a generous life well-lived, she has joined her beloved husband, Frank (1986) in eternity. Born in Forest Mills, December 31, 1922 in the middle of a blinding snowstorm, she was the eldest child and last surviving sibling of Ray and Addie Bush. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by sons David (Joan) of Napanee, and Doug (Debbie) of Napanee. She will be lovingly remembered by granddaughters Angela (Jeremy) of Carleton Place and Lindsay (Gerry) of Prescott, as well as by her two great-grandchildren, Garrett and Hannah. Jennie was predeceased by infant daughter Beverley, sisters Florence, Patricia, Sylvia, Kathleen, and Margaret, and brothers Buddy, Rennseller, Frank, Earle and Don. She is fondly remembered by brothers-in-law Ron Olesen, Syd Cain and sister-in-law Carol Robb, numerous nieces and nephews. Jennie spent the happiest of days on the family farm in Bath, was community minded with a strong Anglican faith. She had a great sense of humour, terrific culinary skills and loved unconditionally. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at the John M. Parrott Centre where Jennie made her home for the last 9 1/2 years. Gratitude to Dr. Liz Touzel for her kindness and medical management over the years. A private family graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made in Jennie’s memory to the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital or The John M. Parrott Center – Music Program.
