Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Shortreed. She persevered through the decline of her health for many years.
Jean was born at St. Paul’s Hospital, in Vancouver B.C. She was a proud wife to Wayne and mother to Cliff and Keith. She raised her children primarily in North Burnaby and White Rock. She retired with Wayne in Penticton. Jean was a fabulous cook and baker much to the enjoyment of her family.
Before cell phones and computers, Jean was our Google, phone numbers, and addresses were all memorized. She enjoyed organizing many family events. Jean was a strong advocate for her family.
Jean is predeceased by sister Donna (Bill) and brother Bob (Georgie). She is survived by her husband Wayne, brother Art (Sandy), sons Cliff (Lea) and Keith (Kyllie), and grandchildren Louis and Carson, Katelyn, Kelsey, and Katrina. She will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Providence Funeral Home, 1258 Main Street, Penticton, B.C. on December 17th, 2022, at 11 am.
