Obituary
WILLIAMS, Jean Elizabeth – 87 Sandy Point. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful mother. Mom passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday October 18, 2022.
Born March 1, 1935 in Shelburne she was a daughter of the late Calvin and Edna (Weir) Young.
Jean was a very caring and loving Mom, Grandmother and Great-grandmother. She met the love of her life Denver at the Ritz Café while waitressing. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Trinity United Church. Jean worked at the Cape Cod Colony and the Oxbow Motel and babysat several children throughout her lifetime.
There was always food in the house, and she always had tons of sweets to go with tea or coffee when someone stopped in.
She is survived by her sons; Calvin (Cindy), Dennie (Della), daughters; Twyla (Rick), Tanya (Michael), grandchildren; Nicole (Patrick), Kyle, Garrett (Emily), Nickolas (Amber), Jacob, Owen, Ty, Drew, Kayla (Colin) and Cole, great-grandchildren; Nixon, Quinn, Mackenna and Scarlett, sisters; Mary and Dorothy, brother-in-law, Clayton (Jessie) Williams, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Denver and her siblings, Annie, Bill, Calvin, Alvin and Dougie.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Shelburne. No visitation by request. There will be a Public graveside service with family and friends to take place at Pine Grove Cemetery, Shelburne, Nova Scotia on Friday October 21st at 2:00 pm.
