Bouctouche N.-B – It is with heavy hearts that the Family of Mary Aline (Lynn) Kaye (nee Richard (Steele) of Bouctouche, NB formerly of Moncton, NB passed away peacefully at the age of 82, on August 29, 2022, after a brief illness, at the Dr. Georges-L Dumont University Hospital in Moncton, NB surrounded by her family.
Born in Saint John, NB and raised in Bouctouche/Shediac, NB, she was the adopted daughter of the late Anna & J. Fred Richard and her birth parents the late Edna & Hugh Francis Steele.
Lynn worked at CN as a Switchboard Operator and later in the Accounting/Payroll Department until her retirement in 1994. She was a past member of the Moncton Press Club and the Air Force Veterans Club of Moncton, where she enjoyed the Thursday night and Saturday afternoon Dart games. Lynn was also a member of the Moncton Curling Association and loved to cook.
She was an avid Hockey fan whether it was watching her grand and great grandchildren playing or her favourite teams Detroit and Toronto, she loved the sport.
She will be lovingly remembered by Rod Bourgeois, her daughters Roxanne (late George) of Pickering, ON, Pat (John) of Riverview, NB and Kathy (David) of Rexton, NB. Her grandchildren Ryan (Mado), Megan, Justin (Casey), Jesse (Kate), Jessica & Curtis. Her great grandchildren Cayden, Lauren, Calder & Remy. Her brothers Mike (Mary-Jane) Mills, Brian Naves, her sister Donna Naves-Ward (Jim). And many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Clinton Edward (Ned) Kaye, her brothers Frank, Bill, Jack, Joseph, Leslie, Arthur & Richard Steele, and her sisters Catherine Craft, Elizabeth Knox, & Rita Swift.
Honoring Lynn’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. A family gathering will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to extend a thank you to the 4A floor staff at the Dr. Georges-L Dumont University Hospital, Dr. Langlais, Dr. Savoie, Dr. Comeau, Dr. Langis, and the emergency department staff at the Hôpital Stella-Maris-de-Kent and the Extra Mural Staffs in Bouctouche area.
Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or The Canadian Cancer Society in her honour would be greatly appreciated.
