GIACOMUZZO, Germano (Jerry)
October 11, 1930 – July 1, 2022
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Germano at West Lincoln Hospital. Cherished husband of Giuliana (Julie) of 64 years. Will also be missed by his daughter, Mara Bevan and his son, Major Gary Giacomuzzo (Lori), his grandsons, Michael Bevan, Daniel Bevan and Andrew Giacomuzzo.
Germano was born in St. Vito, Pordenone, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1960, starting work at Slater Steel in Hamilton until his retirement in 1991. He moved to Grimsby in 1971 and had resided here for the last 51 years. He enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden and fishing and hunting with his son, Gary. Golf was one of his favourite activities which he continued to play until 80 years old. Also being an active long time member of the Famee Furlane Club of Hamilton, there were many card games played with his fellow Italians.
We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Albright Manor for their excellent care and compassion this last year. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral as per his request.
