Geralda Marie Ross of Lower Coverdale NB, passed away Thursday November 17, 2022 at Moncton City Hospital, at the age of 98.
Born in Bathurst NB, she was the daughter of the late Eloi and Clarisse (Frenette) Roy. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her two daughters; Linda Sweeney (Raymond) of Nelson and Donna Price (Late Wayne) of Lower Coverdale, one brother Robert (Lora) of Riverview, three sisters; Florence Ross (Late Howard) of Bathurst, Claudette Smith of Bathurst and Irene Hachey of Saskatoon, two brothers; Armond Roy (Doris) of Bathurst and Arthur Roy (Anne) of Bathurst, 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one son Eloi and two sisters Jacqueline and Claudette.
Among many other positions of employment, Geralda was a retired receptionist from the Hotel Dieu hospital in Chatham NB. She was a past member of the Red Hat Society (Moncton, NB).
Geralda had an exceptional talent for baking, cake decorating, cross stitching and knitting. Her beautiful creations are proudly displayed throughout the homes of her friends and family. These heirlooms will be cherished with love forever. Her ability to cook and the presentation of her food for gatherings and special occasions was admired by many. Nobody was ever hungry after leaving her house! She had a love for Christmas like no other and she was completely ready for this upcoming season. Decorations lite and presents wrapped. We are comforted and grateful she had the opportunity to enjoy some of Christmas 2022.
She was a determined, feisty and hard working woman with a fierce love for her family. Her 4 children were her life. Her loyalty to them and their families was outstanding. Her strong faith and devotion to prayer has given us hope that she has now been welcomed into the loving arms of our heavenly father. She would have been over joyed by the reunion with her loved ones. We can only imagine the laughter and music!
Geralda’s family would like to express sincere appreciation to all of those involved in her care over the last two weeks. A very special thank you to Donna, her daughter and to Laura, her daughter in law for the countless hours by her bedside. Your love and devotion will never be forgotten. Donna, we are all so grateful to you for the meticulous care you provided to her over the years.

The Funeral Service will be held Monday November 21, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Father John Beaumaster officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Family Roman Catholic Cemetery, Barryville NB.
