Obituary of Eva Dorn
Eva Dorn, late of Pilot Butte, SK, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 after a long battle with alzheimers. Eva was predeceased by her loving husband Archie; parents Michael and Pauline Latoski; siblings Bill, Jessie, Lloyd, Josie, Carl, Peter, Joe, Mary, Helga, Ann, Paul, Andy, Liz and Irena. She is survived by her daughter Lauralee (Larry) Fanning, grandson Derek (Charlotte), Paul, and great-granddaughters Alice and Bobbi; son Rod (Rennie) Dorn, grandchildren Janine (Duley) Ford, great-grandchildren Alorah and Ethan, granddaughter Tracy (Ryan) Bailey, great-grandchildren Zarah, Kwyntin, Kitt and Kayah, and grandson Drake (Nia) Dorn; son Mark Dorn grandchildren Sarah (Jesse) DeJong, great-grandchildren Jordyn, Peyton and Maddyx, grandson Kyle (Lorissa) Dorn, great-grandchildren Kadri and Hartley, and granddaughter Kenna (Mathew) Dorn; as well as siblings Ed (Virginia) Latoski, Aggie Thomson, Elaine Patras and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Eva was born in Lestock, SK and lived in Wishart until she was 17. She packed her bags and moved to the big city of Vancouver where she met the love of her life Archie Dorn. They had 54 years of marriage full of excitement, travels and of course family. Eva loved to cook and bake and was so very talented at both. She also loved crafts such as knitting crocheting and her final products were a blessed gift to all of us. She will truly be missed by all who knew her, the smile she gave lit up a room.
Special thanks to Kim and Kel Olson, her neighbours in Moose Jaw. They were our eyes and ears once Archie passed away and the reason Eva was able to stay in her home as long as she did.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00 on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Riverside Memorial Park in Regina. Everyone is welcome to attend.
