Obituary
Douglas was born in Orangeville on September 10, 1960 and passed away unexpectedly on March 9, 2022. Beloved husband of Janet and cherished father to David Alexander Doupagne, and Kathryn Ann Doupagne (Robin Gitzing) as well as Nicole and Andy. Loving son to Walter and Crystal Doupagne and predeceased by his birthmother Johanna. Douglas is also predeceased by his brother Wayne, as well as many aunts and uncles. Loving brother to Monique (Jacques Pelchat) and Aya and brother-in-law to Irene Ann. Adored uncle to Gabrielle and Tadhg. Dearest nephew to André Doupagne and Greta Spalding-Martin. Douglas is survived by three grandchildren. Douglas will be missed by his extended family members, dear friends, coworkers, neighbours and many more. Cremation has taken place.
A public visitation will take place on Friday, March 18th from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Kitching Steepe and Ludwig Funeral Home (146 Mill Street North, Waterdown). The family asks that you would please consider bringing in a photo or write a memory of Douglas to be displayed in the visitation room. A memorial service will take place on Saturday March 19th at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Anyone who may wish to watch the service via livestream can access the link below.
