Obituary of Donald MacGregor
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald MacGregor of Pleasant Valley on July 16, 2022, at the Aberdeen Hospital with his family by his side.
Donald was born October 18, 1956 in Inverness and was the son of the late James and Marion MacGregor.
He is survived by his wife, Beverley (Druhan) (MacDonald) MacGregor; stepdaughter Cheryl MacDonald and stepsons, Jason and Trevor MacDonald and daughter Meagan.
He is also survived by his siblings, Sarah MacGillivray, Mary MacGregor, Bob, Richard (Lynn) Norman (Carole) Jim (Robin), Ed (Carolyn); nieces and nephews, Angela Anderson, Jamie, Mindy, Renee, Nikki, Chelsea Hernandez, Jared, Amber, Emily, Matthew, Andrew, Michael and Marie. Donald was predeceased by brothers Hector and Hugh.
Donald was loved for his big heart. He loved to help whenever he could, whether it was replacing a cottage roof or building a huge swing set. He also loved hunting and fishing. You could often find Donnie at Tim Horton’s chatting with his friends.
Donald was employed at D&B Campground and then at the Glen Haven Manor for many years, before retiring due to health reasons.
Donald is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville where visitation will be from 2-4 (only) on Wednesday July 20 . His funeral will take place Thursday, July 21 at 2pm. from Eagles Funeral Home in Westville, with Major Daniel Roode officiating. Interment following the service in Forest Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Valley. Reception to follow at The Salvation Army.
If desired donations may be made to The Salvation Army, the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, or a charity of your choice.
