It is with sadness we announce the
passing of Donald Jury, age 81 of
Amherst. Donald passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at the
Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
Born in Joggins, NS, he was a son of the
late John «Roy» and Mary «Mamie» (St. Peters)
Jury.
Donald loved sports, especially hockey,
whether coaching in his younger years, or watching it on
television. He loved his special dog Daisy. Donald
lived in Ontario for 30 years, working as a Stationary Engineer for
Consumer Glass until his retirement.
He will be sadly missed by his children
Janet Jury, Amherst, Patricia Owens (David), Rusagonis, NB, David
(Audra), Amherst, Douglas (Laura), Moncton, NB, and Leroy, Amherst;
their mother Clara Jury, Amherst; grandchildren, Vanessa, Valerie,
Mallory, Davey, Bailey, Garrin, Leslie, Calvin and Katrina; 18 great
grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; brothers John (Lynda),
Edmonton, AB, Jim (Liz), St. Albert, AB, sisters, Joan (Brian) Fuller,
Springhill, Patsy (Bill) Melanson, Langford, BC, Bev (Brian) Melloy,
Brookdale.
Arrangements are under the care and
direction of Jones Family Funeral Centre,
Amherst, NS, (902 667 8777). A funeral service for Donald
will be held at the Jones Family Funeral Centre on Monday, August 15,
2022 at 2 pm followed by a reception. Burial will take place
in the St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Joggins, NS.
Donations in memory of Donald may be
made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity fo your
choice.
