Dolores’ Obituary
Dolores Marceau passed away peacefully in Grande Prairie (AB) hospital on October 5, 2022. She was 72 years old. Dolores was born October 22, 1949 in McLennan (AB).
She loved to do canning and baking. She did lots of camping in Joussard, and moose hunting at the Marceau’s Village with her husband Gérard and Marie-Louise (her mom).
Dolores enjoyed her family gatherings and coffee times with family and friends. Her door was always open, to have her company come for coffee and a visit.
Dolores left the Girouxville farm at 21 years old to move to High Prairie, to go work at her very first job in a bakery. She also worked many years in Peace River hospital in the kitchen. In the later years she worked at Falher Co-op in the butcher shop, and also did cleaning at the Gerry’s Suites Motel.
Dolores got married at the age of 29 to her love Gérard Marceau, on July 7, 1978. They resided in the town of Girouxville, Alberta.
Dolores is predeceased by her husband Gérard; parents Alphonse & Marie-Louise Corriveau; brothers George and Rosaire.
She leaves behind: sisters Pauline (Ernie), Eileen, Simone (Ed), Lorraine (Carl), Irene (Denis); brothers Paul (Julie), Normand, Gérard, Arthur (Linda).
Cremation has taken place.
A private family graveside service will be held at Notre-Dame de Lourdes Cemetery in Girouxville, at a later date.
