David Charles Metcalf
1955-2022
David Charles Metcalf, 66, passed away peacefully on August
9th, 2022 at the Dr. George L- Dumont Hospital with his sweetheart by
his side.
David was born in Summerside, PE on December 10th, 1955 the
son of the late Vincent and Margaret (Castleman)
Metcalf.
He grew up in Ontario but felt at home in the Atlantic
Provinces which led him to move to the
Hillsborough area. He had a strong
personality and was very outgoing. He drove trucks
for On Target Transportation. He was a bike mechanic and
enjoyed racing bikes. He was a naturally talented
musician and was in a band for many years. He was
an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and nature. His
greatest passion was golf and he has golfed on many courses with his
buddies and he enjoyed the Hillsborough Golf
Course.
He felt blessed to have his daughter and his one true love
in his life and would want them to be strong, carry on and be
happy. His grandchildren were the light of his
life.
LOVE- I wrote your name in the sand but
the waves washed it away, then I wrote it in the sky but the
wind blew it away, so I wrote it in my heart and that’s where it will
stay.
He will be deeply missed by his soul mate, Renee
Dunn; daughter, Jessica Dunn of Moncton; his treasured grandchildren,
Brody, Lance and Ella-Rose and his brother Gary (Jeanne) of
Ontario. He will also be missed by several nieces and
nephews and by all who knew him.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. A
time when we will celebrate his life will be announced at a later
date.
For those who wish donations to the charity of the donor’s
choice would be appreciated.
