On June 25, 2022 Linda Chykerda (nee Sawatzky) of Vegreville, formerly of Bruderheim, passed away at the age of 73 years.
Linda is survived by her 3 brothers, Blair (Mona), Ward (Connie) and Ken (Pat), sister-in-law Judy Sawatzky, brother-in-law Martin Pearson, and numerous nieces and nephers, relatives, friends, and special family friend Lawrence Humeniuk.
Linda is predeceased by her husband Leonard Chykerda (1988), parents father, Harold Sawatzky(1984), mother, Bertha Sawatzky (2016), brother, Marvin Sawatzky (2016), sister, Carol Pearson (2006) and infant sister.
A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Service will take place at11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at First United Church 10409 100 Avenue, Fort Saskatchewan with light luncheon to follow. Interment will follow luncheon at Evergreen Cemetery 16102 Fort Road NW Edmonton.
A very special thank you to all her doctors and nursing staff at the University of Alberta hospital(ICU) and St. Joseph’s General Hospital and Dialysis center in Vegreville. Your kindness will always be remembered.
