Cheryl Dawn’s Obituary
ARENBURG, Cheryl Dawn – Age 69 of Concession, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully with her husband holding her hand, on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 12:35 pm, at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, after a short battle with Acute Myloid Leukimia.
Born in Kentville, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Frank Arenburg and Winnifred (Mason) Arenburg.
Dawn was a generous, loving person who embraced everything family.
Dawn is survived by her mother, Winnifred Arenburg; her loving husband, Edgar Gaudet; sons, Aden (Jacqueline) Bennett, Ryan Bennett; step-children, Russell (Andrea) Gaudet, Janelle (Ray) Forbes, Andre (Alicia) Gaudet; siblings, Karen (Pete) Turgeon, Kathleen Wilson, Dan (Jane) Arenburg, Michelle (Chris) Klysoon; grandchildren, Jonah, Lucas, Aubrey, Samuel, Eden and Greyson; nieces and nephews.
Dawn was predeceased by her father, Frank Arenburg and great nephew, Kayde Conlon.
After moving to Clare in 2000, Dawn worked for an accounting firm, eventually being her own boss with her own book keeping business. This gave Dawn a chance to live the life she wanted and deserved. She loved what she did, as it gave her a chance to spend time with her many clients, creating a friendship beyond the working relationship.
When not at work, Dawn, loved going for motorcycle rides, watching her home renovation TV shows or just sitting reading a book with her two cats on her lap.
As per Dawn’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be any service.
A celebration of life will be held in the coming spring, where her ashes will be spread around a big apple tree on the property she called home, this way every spring when the tree blossoms, Dawn, will be with us.
The family would like to say a big thank you to the doctors, nurses and all the medical staff at the Victoria General Hospital, 8th floor, wing 8A; the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, 3rd floor and 4th floor palliative care, you are all special kind of individuals for doing the type of work that you do, will always be grateful for the kind, companionate care that you have all given Dawn while battling her illness.
