Charlotte Agnes Alexson
January 21, 1952 – July 7, 2022
It is with great sadness we announce Charlotte, our sweet mother, Kokom, sister, aunt and great friend to many was called home unexpectedly on July 7, 2022, at the age of 70. She was predeceased by her parents Fred McKay and Lucy Alexson, sisters Valerie Alexson, Beulah Langford, brothers Don McKay, Stanford Alexson, Roy Alexson, son Merle Alexson and grandson Cain Alexson. She is survived by her children: Claudette (Iskwew), Pamela, Gina (Bobby), Karl (Sherilyn), Desiree (Raymond), Kristen; her siblings Cindy (Tom), Maureen, Lucille (Rick), Ross (Harriet), Geri, Marilyn, Fred, Gloria, Nadine (Marty), Valerie (Bill), granddaughters that she raised: Fallon, Micah, Alexi and all her many grand and great grandchildren that she loved deeply, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Our Dearest Kokom, such a sweet, kindhearted woman that was always willing to go out of her way to help others in need. She kept herself busy doing what she loved most: Working at Saskatchewan Health Authority helping others for 15 years, where she worked with her daughters Pam and Desiree. She wasn’t retired very long before she went back to work at Cowessess Home Care for a year. Kokom was always on the go. If she wasn’t busy working, she was out helping family or friends in need. Even if she worked early in the morning, she would make time to help out. She loved and adored all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She would attend every birthday and family gathering. No matter how tired she was from work, she would make sure to make an appearance and express her love. Kokom loved and cared sooo much for her dogs: Junior and Brutus. She happened to be at her happy place PHC (casino) when she fell ill. She leaves a huge void in our family. Kokom was SO strong, silently fighting a battle only she knew about. She left a huge impact on many people she crossed paths with. We will forever miss her and cherish all of the beautiful memories she left behind. She was truly inspiring and a one of a kind Kokom that we were blessed to have.
A wake will be held Monday, July 11, 2022, at the Kahkewistahaw Complex at 4:00 pm. Funeral Service will be the following day, July 12, in the same location (Kahkewistahaw Complex) at 11:00 am. Arrangements entrusted to Conley Funeral Home, Wolseley, Sk. (306) 698-5000
