It is with profound sadness that we
announce the passing of Carolyn Jean
Mooring, 73, at her home in Springhill, on Sunday,
September 4, 2022. Born in Springhill, Carolyn was a
daughter of the late Carl and Grace (Langille) Mooring.
After high school, she attended St.
Charles Business School. Upon graduating, she worked at
several businesses before joining Correctional Services Canada where
she worked in finance for over 20 years. Carolyn was devoted
to her job until her final days.
Family was extremely important to her;
being there for each and every one of her family members.
She will be dearly missed by all members of her family, including her
rescue dog, Charlie.
Carolyn will be sadly missed by her
daughter Carla (Matthew) Hiltz, Springhill; grandson Colton, Mattawa,
ON; special niece Jenna (James) Lowther, Springhill.
She was predecesaed by siblings Marjorie
(Glen) Hutchison, Janice (Bill) Heffernan, Carl, and Windy
Lowther.
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of A.H.
Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St, Springhill
(902-597-2361). Honouring Carolyn’s wishes, cremation has
taken place. A graveside service will be held at the
Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 3
pm.
Donations in Carolyn’s memory may be
made to the LA Animal Shelter.
