Obituary For Brooklyn Ingrid Unger
Brooklyn Ingrid Unger was born in Grande Prairie, AB, on November 25, 2017. Brooklyn was a vibrant, loving little girl, with a strong love for her family, Spiderman, and her dog Marshmallow. After only 4 short years together, Brooklyn suddenly left her beloved parents Skylar and Samantha Unger on Friday, June 17, 2022, and joined us all forever in our hearts and memories.
Brooklyn was a funny and loving little girl with sparkling brown eyes and the biggest smile. She had so many favorites: dancing, singing, anything that brought her outside and her whole family, which she referred to as her ‘best friend’ family. Brooklyn’s love was unconditional, and she received so much love and support from the people around her. Her happiest moments were days at the lake with mom and grandma. Her favorite time of day was when dad, uncle Preston, and papa came home from work; and any time playing with her cousins. She touched the lives of so many; our beloved, shining, happy girl, the light of our lives, and the star of our hearts and leaves us smiling through our tears. She was happiness and love personified.
Brooklyn will be greatly missed by her loving parents Skylar and Samantha Unger; grandparents David and Ingrid Ostrom; grandmother Sharon Unger; grandparents Shane and Joy Kmyta; grandpa Cory Shannon; aunts and uncles: Preston Ostrom, Cierra Shannon, Stephanie Shannon, Robert Ostrom (Lisa Watson), Nancy Edey (Dustin Edey), and Anthony Elliott (Kaylei Elliott); cousins: Derrick, Treyson, Aiden, and Charlie; as well as all of her extended family and caring friends.
She was predeceased by her great-grandparents: Jeff and Mildred Ostrom, Nancy and Marvin Krantz, Dwayne and Jean Kmyta, Dale Unger, and Mary Kmyta; great-uncle Bob Ostrom; as well as cousin Jeffery Ostrom.
A Private Viewing will be held earlier in the day for family and invited friends.
Family and friends of Brooklyn are invited to an outdoor Celebration of Life held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, beginning at 2:00pm, at 10124 96 Ave, in Grande Prairie.
