Surrounded by loving family, on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Afton Park Place, Betty Veenbaas passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Veenbaas (Jan. 31, 2007). Loving mother of Ann (Doug) DeGroot, Alice (Geert) Hofstra of Holland and Sid (Debbie) Veenbaas. Cherished grandmother of Jodi (Greg) Primmer, Tressa (Dean) Abram, Michael (Kristeen) DeGroot, Brad (Heidi) DeGroot, Jason (Catherine) Hofstra, Kim (Dick) VanLoon of Holland, Jessica (Jeremy) Deug of Holland, Melanie Veenbaas (Marco Escalante), Jackie (Ed) Lichty, and Danielle (Adam) Nienhuis. Treasured great-grandmother of many great-children. Will be remembered by extended family in Holland and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by seven brothers and sisters. Art and Betty loved spending time in nature, enjoyed boating, walking and cottaging. She enjoyed travelling and church functions. Betty will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched. A private interment in Blackwell Cemetery will be held. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
