Bernard (Bernie) Lepage passed away peacefully at home on July 30, with his beloved wife Lilly and step-son Jeff at his side.
Predeceased by his mother Agnes, sister-in-law Bernice, and numerous Aunts and Uncles. He will be greatly missed by his father Guy, sisters Marg (Darryl), Lorraine (Rick), Rita (Garry), Lucie (Kevin) and brothers Guy Jr (Bernice), Ron (Venay) and their families.
Bernie attended G.P. Vanier Senior Secondary High School, left Vancouver Island in the early 1980’s, and moved to Prince Rupert where he met the love of his life, Lilly Hague. They were married in 1986 and later moved to Tlell on Haida Gwaii, formerly known as Queen Charlotte Islands, where they built their home with his father, Guy’s assistance. He was employed by the Abfam Saw Mill and many other forestry related careers. He was well loved and respected by his co-workers and the community. After many years in Tlell he made the decision to move to Ladysmith where he worked in construction and plumbing. He gained many friends in his church community. In his final years he found his calling in finance and became an agent (broker) for Primerica, assisting his clients to grow their wealth.
Bernie will be remembered for his strong belief in living for God and to die was to be joyfully born in love and peace and to the glory of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Saviour. He leaves his wife Lilly and step-sons Anthony (Catherine), Jeff (Elizabeth), and grandchildren.
