Obituary
STEWART, Alan – It’s with sadness that we announce the passing of Alan Roy Stewart at Hospice Niagara on December 29 2022, at the age of 93 years. He is predeceased by his wife Mary ( 2001) and his son Ian (2018). Alan was born in Lancashier England in 1929 and served with the British Army Forces in Middle East after the second World War. Afterwards he emigrated to Canada where he traveled and worked in many parts of the country, before settling in Niagara Falls where he eventually worked for over three decades at the Niagara Park Commission until his retirement. Alan was a unique person with a high dignity and interested in natural world & gardening, trees, flowers, animals, birds that he saw beauty in the smallest thing also especially owls which had worked as a volunteer with his wife Mary. He will be greatly missed by his special daughter Jan Watson and many of the special close friends he has made over the years. May he rest in Lord’s peaceful arm. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Friday, January 6, 2022 from 11 am to 1 pm.
