It is with heavy hearts and surrounded by family that we announce Liz’s passing on September 9, 2022 at the age of 71 years. Beloved wife of 44 years to Phillip Hammond, who left us in 2015.
Devoted mother of Karrie (Brian) and Cindy (Chris). Cherished grandmother of Bradley, Claude, Carling, Thomas, Celia, Corina and Camila, along with great grandson Kaël.
She will also be remembered by siblings Roman (Stella) and Janie (Alan). Daughter of predeceased Jan and Genowefa Pydych, along with dear sisters of late Sophie (late Walter) and late Danuta (Albert).
She will equally be missed by all nieces, nephews, many extended relatives and friends.
Liz will forever be remembered as true hearted woman that wanted nothing but the best for her family. We are very grateful for the great values she instilled, making each member of her immediate and extended families feel loved, respected and supported. She touched the hearts of many people and was also an inspiration to the Smith’s Park community in Midland Ontario.
The Hammond family will receive friends and members of the community at the Innisfil Funeral Home at 7910 Yonge Street, Stroud Ontario, L9S1L5 on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Visitations will be 1pm-3pm and 7pm-9pm respectfully.
A funeral mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday September 15 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church located at 65 Amelia Street in Barrie Ontario, L4M 1M7. A livestream will be available for those unable to attend in person. www.facebook.com/St.MarysBarrie/live
