It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Zonia Pryma on July 13, 2021 at the age of 98 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Simon (Irene), Anna Marie, Raymond (Maura); grandchildren, Lynndon (Stacey), Dustin (Kaitlyn), Danusia (Brett), Maksym, Brynn and Jerry; great-grandchildren, Emily, Finn and Matheson; numerous nieces and nephews.
Zonia was predeceased by her parents, Simeon and Mary Paley; her husband, Jerry; siblings, Bill, Nick, Peter, John, Anne and their spouses; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Zonia was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to a pioneer family that homesteaded in the Rosa (south of Winnipeg) area. She was an accomplished artist and photographer who loved her Ukrainian Catholic faith and family. She lived in Edmonton from 1941 and was an associate member of the Sister Servants of Mary Immaculate, and past president of the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League St. Josaphat Cathedral Branch.
The kindest and most loving of souls. Her family will miss her dearly.
