With heavy hearts we announce the
passing of Yvette Grant, age 48, of
Springhill, NS. Yvette passed away due to heart failure on
October 6, 2021 at her home. Her loss was completely
unexpected and her family and friends are shocked and
saddened.
Yvette was born on October 18, 1972 in
Port Alberni, BC.
Yvette worked as a continuing care
assistant at Hichcrest Nursing Home in Springhill, NS where she dearly
loved the residents and her co-workers. In her spare time,
she loved being in her craft room, creating anything
possible. Yvette was loved for her big heart and her
compassionate spirit, as well as her love for animals.
She will be dearly missed by her mother
Lynn McNab and is predeceased by her father Doug Grant and her brother
Allan.
Yvette is going to be dearly missed by
her fiancé John and her step daughters Mackenzie and Jemma;
brother Jeff; step-sister Mandy; special grandma Alma; and her
extended family. Yvette is going to be dearly missed by her
chosen daughters « her oldest girls » Stephanie, Tesha and
Morgan; as well as her chosen granddaughters Lucy, Payton, Piper, and
Adley. Yvette is leaving behind many aunts, uncles, cousins
and close friends.
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5
McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361). Cremation has
taken place, and she will be returned home to British Columbia to be
buried with her dad and brother. There is no Funeral
Service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date
in Springhill as well as in British Columbia.
Donations in memory of Yvette may be
made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or any animal
shelter.
