Obituary of William Driscoll Mulligan
The death occurred peacefully with family by his side at the Saint John Region Hospital on Thursday, June 25th, 2021 of Billy Mulligan, age 81. Born in Charlottetownand son of the late John ‘Jack’ and Pauline (Tierney) Mulligan. Survived by his wife Georgina (Reeves) and children Kelly Mulligan and Alison MacDougall (Kenny). Cherished grampy to Willie (Emily), Patrick MacGuigan, Riley and Ella MacDougall and great grampy to Seth MacGuigan. Brother to Vince. Special uncle to Marybeth Burroughs. Predeceased by his sister Francis, brothers St. Clair and Jimmy Mulligan. You could always find Billy at a rink or a gym supporting his grandchildren, attending minor hockey meetings, volunteering for tournaments and discussing important matters at the coffee shop with the men. Long time supporter of the UPEI Men’s Hockey booster club, true harness racing fan and avid golfer that just may have provided more entertainment to the game than a ‘mulligan’. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. Due to current restrictions a private visitation and funeral service will be held. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Memorial donations may be made online to KidSport PEI.
