Obituary of Wilfred Lewis Hoyle
HOYLE – Wilfred Lewis – Peacefully at North Lambton Lodge, Forest, Wilfred died on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Ethel (nee Parrott) for 63 yrs. Loving father of Michael Hoyle (Tanya), Bright’s Grove, Janice Schilbe (John), Goderich, Karen Doyling (Robert), Sarnia and Lisa Laakso (Loklin), Holland Landing. Cherished grandfather of Mathew (Erin) Hoyle, Sarnia, Aaron Hoyle, Sarnia, Kurtis Hoyle (Elyse Uniac), Bright’s Grove, Kristopher (Tina) Probodiak, Southampton, Stephanie Probodiak (James Bishop), Victoria B.C., Konrad Schilbe (Heidi), Goderich, Gwendolyn Schilbe, Montreal, Nicole Schilbe, Goderich, Samantha Doyling (Raffi), Mississauga, Mackenzie Doyling, Sarnia, Oskar Laakso, Holland Landing and Jake Laakso, Holland Landing. Proud great grandfather of Sophia and Jack Probodiak. Predeceased by his parents and granddaughter Hayley Ann Doyling.
Wilfred was an Electrical Operator and Safety Officer for 35 years at Ontario Hydro. He was always up for a round of golf, curling or a walk. The family enjoyed their many camping excursions. Wilfred and Ethel loved to travel to Florida, Portugal and British Columbia. He loved his music. He loved all genres. And he loved it loud! Wilfred’s passion was his family and he welcomed any opportunity for a family gathering.
Cremation has taken place. Due to current COVID restrictions a private family service will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE. Please note that masks/face coverings are mandatory and maximum visitors at one time and social distancing will be strictly enforced. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
